Distribution of costs within the VvE
How the costs are distributed among the members of the homeowners’ association (VvE) is set out in the deed of division (splitsingsakte). The deed of division states how many apartment rights there are and how large each apartment right’s share in the community is. Every owner is required to contribute to the communal costs in proportion to this share. The fractions are often based on the size of the apartment. This means that larger apartments generally pay a higher monthly financial contribution than smaller apartments.
