Rights and obligations of VvE members
Rights:
You have a say at the VvE meetings. This means you can vote on decisions about the maintenance, management and any improvements to the building.
You have the right to inspect the financial documents of the homeowners’ association (VvE), such as the annual accounts, the annual budget and the long-term maintenance plan (MJOP).
Obligations:
You pay a monthly financial contribution to the VvE. This contribution is used, among other things, to cover shared costs and to save for future maintenance.
You are required to comply with the rules set out in the deed of division (splitsingsakte) and the house rules (huishoudelijk reglement). These contain agreements about the use of communal areas and the maintenance of your apartment.
